NSS Unit Home

"Service to Humanity is service to God". The overall objective of our NSS Unit is service to society while studying. It is sought to arouse the social conscience of students and provide them with the opportunity to work with the people around the college campus creatively, constructively and to put the education they receive to concrete social use.

Important Milestones:

  • The JNTU, Hyderabad has accorded permission to start the NSS unit in the college, during the year 2002-2003. An inaugurated function was organized on 05/09/02. Sri. D. Gopal, Local MLA, SRPT inaugurated the unit on 05/09/02. Sri. J. Satyanarayana, Municipal Chairman, SRPT & others elites of the town have graced the occasion.
  • NSS SPECIAL CAMP --- The NSS unit of the college organized a special camp program at Gandhi Nagar village near suryapet. A group of 50 NSS volunteers of the college adopted the village & carried out social service activities for a period of 10 days from 05/02/03 to 16/02/03. NSS volunteers of the village & health campus conducted & cleaning the temple surroundings, etc. A bus shelter was also constructed at Gandhi Nagar. The valedictory function was arranged in which Sri. Meela Satyanarayana, Sudhakar Group of Industries attended.
  • On the occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st December 2003, the NSS unit organized an awareness rally. Handouts & placards were supplied by government area hospital, suryapet. The rally was combined with other rallies of different NSS units before government junior college, suryapet & finally conducted to LIONS club of suryapet for participating in the seminar.
  • In connection with Janma Bhoomi Programme on 3rd Saturday, 18th November, a clean & the green program was organized in the college campus by NSS unit of the college volunteers cleaned the campus & planted the new saplings brought from a nursery. The program was attended by Principal & Local Elite. In another program organized by the NSS district collector of Nalgonda, Sri.R.P.Sodia visited the campus and planted a sapling. Municipal chairman of the town Sri. J. Satyanarayana also accompanied the collector & planted a sapling.
  • On 19th July 2004 the NSS unit of our college was invited by the committee of Laxmi Narasimha Swami Temple, Urlugonda village near suryapet to assist in vanamahostavam program being organized by different voluntary organizations of the suryapet town. 50 volunteers were deputed to assist the program. The program was attended by Sri. J. Satyanarayana, Muncipal Chairman, P. Ganesh President of Lions club, Suryapet & Meela Satyanarayana, Chairman, Sudhakar Group of Industries.
